This week on The Jock and Nerd Podcast, Marvel teams up with Major League Baseball for an exclusive new Avengers: Doomsday preview! We break down the footage, discuss legendary Marvel Comics writer Jonathan Hickman’s involvement in the film, and speculate about a newly confirmed Oscar-nominated cast member. Plus, rumors about the MCU’s new Beast and the latest contenders to become the next James Bond!
Then things get seriously disturbing as we dive into our spoiler-filled review of DC Studios’ Clayface (2026)! Directed by James Watkins and written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, this R-rated body-horror film explores the tragic transformation of struggling actor Matt Hagen into one of Batman’s most terrifying villains. We discuss Tom Rhys Harries’ performance, the gruesome transformations, shocking kills, Gotham City connections, and that twisted ending. Is Clayface a great horror movie that happens to feature a Batman villain, or another sympathetic villain origin story?
