David Taylor II is an award winning author, songwriter, producer, and playwright.

His latest children’s book, Diary of a Smart Black Kid: Sixth Grade, has become an instant favorite of parents, teachers, and kids alike.

His latest fantasy book, Lucifer: Soldiers, Serpents and Sin – Book 1 is an internationally best-selling book. He has created an entire story world called The Realm from that first book and continues to expand it through comic books, graphic novels, coloring books, and literary sequels.

As a songwriter, Mr. Taylor writes commercials, rap, gospel, adult contemporary, and musical theater. He has done commercial work for McDonald’s and Disney. He has written for Justin Bieber and Usher. He put the late, great Cuba Gooding Sr. back on the charts after 30 years. He has worked with jazz great Dave Koz and the James Taylor singers. He is a co-composer for the smash hit theater production, Eye of the Storm:The Bayard Rustin Musical, nominated for 3 Black Theater Alliance awards.
